Barefoot Renovations Project Gallery
With limited space and tight access, it took a bit of creativity to design and make overseas, a wonderful fully-finished modular granny flat, which we assembled onsite in three weeks. This sat atop the new oversized garage/fitness studio which we built prior to arrival of the two modules which came finished with double glazing, full kitchen with stone benchtops and glass splashback, full-height tiles in the bathroom, bamboo floors and quality fixtures and fittings.
Following the purchase of this home, before the owners moved in, we moved in….and gutted it! In addition to the full internal renovation with new kitchen, three bath/shower rooms, living, dining and bedrooms, we converted one of the two double garages into a new bedroom and ensuite with passageway through the main house. Just about squeezed the family of seven in!
Scarborough Apartment 1
We gutted this one well and truly and renovated all rooms within a considered budget to give it a bright and vibrant seaside feel. While other apartments in the complex are rentals, this one is the owners home and with views like these, it’s no wonder they don’t want to move out!
A simple but effective use of two parking bays at the front of this Cottesloe icon. Bench-seat dining at its best… and thank goodness the coffee is excellent!
On old 70’s kitchen and living area was remodelled and brought to life with beautiful stacking doors and a splashback window looking into the garden, which off-set the stylish and functional family kitchen. The old dining/living rooms were opened up with French doors to the alfresco adding to the feeling of space. A couple of tweaks to the master bedroom and creation of a new study in wasted front space was finished off with new timber flooring throughout.
Warnham Road, Cottesloe
Architect-designed renovation to an old apartment in small block just off the beach. Complete strip out, wall removal and opening of doorways to make way for a full re-fit with a high level of finish.
Fletcher Street, East Fremantle
A tight budget but well directed to modernise this 80’s home. Works included removing a restrictive wall to open up the kitchen, new kitchen, laundry, bathroom and ensuite, plus stripping the old ‘bagged’ render and giving it a new finish throughout.
